First COVID-19 vaccine could be delivered to distribution points as early as end of December!

First COVID-19 vaccine could be delivered to distribution points as early as end of December.
First COVID-19 vaccine could be delivered to distribution points as early as end of December.
Just needed to see that in writing.....several times over.
Thank you. This is my prayer of gratitude.
Thank you that I live in a country that can purchase hundreds of millions of vaccines.
Thank you for skilled leaders that have carried the tremendous burden of this pandemic on their shoulders every day.....for 9 months.
Thank you that there is a skilled Major General who has been appointed to lead the role out of COVID 19 vaccines.
Thank you that he knows what he is doing, that we have a military and an education system that can allow for such a skilled human being to be available when his country calls on him.
Thank you for freezers that have been built in preparation for a new vaccine and for the companies that made them.
Thank you for the intelligence of human kind, for advancements in science, technology and medicine that allowed for the creation of a safe vaccine.
Thank you for the healthcare workers who have worked so tirelessly to keep us safe and who will now be on hand to administer these vaccines.
Thank you to my fellow citizens, for wearing masks, for following the physical distancing guidelines, for standing up to help their neighbours and for sacrificing so much to keep our communities safe.
Thank you to all the teachers out there. You are heroes. I cannot thank you enough.
Thank you that, selfishly, I get to stand on the sidelines and watch this miracle unfold.
AMEN
My heart is so full of gratitude and I feel a very strange emotion tonight: JOY.
I am so excited for these vaccines that will be in this country in such a short period of time. We are overcoming one of the largest public health threats in human history. We are doing that.
And, the eternal optimist in me firmly believes that this global crisis will teach us, as a world, how to share our resources and our intellectual property and how to work collaboratively to tackle our greatest challenge: Climate Change.
Be well this weekend. Sleep well this weekend.
Hold your head high and your shoulders back. Be proud and confident in your future.
Be deeply hopeful.
